TRAFFIC RULES

Traffic rules: yield, stop, lights, lanes, roundabouts

The left toolbar is the whole toolkit: Yield, Stop, Lanes, Roundabout, Lights and Roads. The store says traffic rules are how you keep the trucks moving.

Lights: three phases on the editor

The light editor on a store screenshot reads “Traffic light: 3 phases, green one after another.” Phase A is “E all, W all” for 6s, phase B is “SE all” for 6s, phase C is “SE —” for 6s. Yellow after each green is 1.5s, and the note says trucks that can still stop do stop. Each phase has a ±2s control. Buttons read + Phase, − Phase, Earlier, Later, Remove lights. Under “Green in phase C” you pick Any, Left, Straight or Right per approach.

I can quote that panel. I cannot turn it into a timing formula for every junction, because the editor is per intersection.

Who may enter a junction after patch 1.1

Patch 1.1 says a truck enters only when the far side has room. The rule covers signs, lights and unsigned junctions. A left turn waits behind its own line and does not sit in the opposing lane. The post also says time stuck in junctions fell from about 190 truck-seconds to under 10 on their test, and busy factories ship about 20% more.

Patch 1.2 adds a banner under the money bar when a one-way, a light or a lane arrow cuts a route. The map marks the break, and the stuck truck gets a badge. The one-way tool warns before the click.

What the goods-flow overlay is measuring

A store screenshot of the goods-flow view draws route width as deliveries per minute and uses a dashed line when no truck is assigned. Labels on that shot include 1.6, 2.4, 4, 6.4, 9, 9.9 and 11.7 per minute. Adding a lane does not by itself clear an exit that is already full. A 9-minute video titled “More Lanes… Why Are My Trucks Still Queuing?” walks signals, a roundabout, extra lanes and lane direction in that order.

Questions

Does every tool have an achievement?

Stop does not. I looked through the 96 names and descriptions and there is no Stop achievement. Yield has Give Way at 69.0%.

What do the six roads cost?

A late-game Roads panel shows New bridge $350,000 and Bypass $180,000. The other four prices are not on a screenshot I can cite, so they stay blank.

Will a four-way stop flow?

A store screenshot shows a stop on all four approaches and a queue on each one. That is a queue example to inspect; a screenshot does not rank throughput.
