TRUCKS

Which truck to buy: Hauler, Freighter, Lowloader or Express

The store names four trucks and only describes two of them: the cheap Hauler and the on-time Express. The panels show different prices; the table keeps those observations separate.

Sources are counted by publisher: Steam store, community, API and official screenshots form one source. Open each row’s source details for materials. Blank fields have no published value.

What each panel actually prints

Hauler prints 200 · 2 slots. One overview buy button shows $200, and the store calls it cheap. Ten Haulers is an achievement held by 87.7% of players. Freighter prints 160 · 4 slots. One swap panel shows $3,000, while the same truck's buy button on an overview screen sits between $200 and $1,600 depending on the row. I will not collapse those into one Freighter price.

Lowloader and Express both print Licence. Express also shows a $6,000 buy button on the swap panel. Lowloader's cargo and the licence unlock are not on any public text I have, so those cells stay blank. Ten-truck rates: Express 22.8%, Lowloader 18.5%.

The 200 and the 160 are unlabeled

The panel writes 200 · 2 slots and 160 · 4 slots with no unit. I do not call them kilometres per hour. Slots are the only half of that line the store context supports: Hauler carries two, Freighter carries four.

Swapping is a real cash event

One swap screenshot sells four Freighters for $2,850 and buys four Haulers for $269, a net of +$2,581. The new trucks start from the current building. Trade-In, the achievement for changing type, sits at 72.1%. That is the evidence I use for “selling the fleet is part of the game,” not a claim that the net is always $2,581.

Overview rows show profit per truck per minute, with examples at +$135, +$85, +$80 and +$57. A building panel elsewhere shows routes at −$14 and −$26 per minute, so more trucks on a losing line make the loss faster.

Questions

Which truck should a new town buy?

The store's only early adjective is cheap Hauler, and 87.7% of players field ten of them. I do not have a licence path for Lowloader or Express.

Why do two Freighter prices exist?

They are two screenshots of two towns. I print both and I do not average them.

What does Licence mean?

The button says Licence. No store paragraph and no patch note says how you earn it. The cell stays blank.
