DEADLOCK
Five reasons a junction queues, and the fix on record
The store lists emergent jams, gridlock and deadlocks as part of the game. These five patterns come from patches, screenshots and one review, not from a claim that every layout jams.

1. A stop sign on every arm
A store screenshot puts a stop on all four approaches. Each arm has a queue past the junction. This is a queue example, not a measured ranking of sign patterns. One option to inspect is replacing selected stops with yield or a light using the tools on the traffic rules page; the result depends on exit space and competing movements.
2. The exit has no room
Patch 1.1 says a truck enters only when the far side has space. After that patch, a jammed exit looks like a wait on the entry. A screenshot of a press shows bays 1, 2 and 3 with a queue from the main road into the yard. The matching upgrade on the building panel is Bays. One early panel prices the next bays step at $2,000.
3. A one-way or an arrow cut the route
Patch 1.2 says a one-way, a light or a lane arrow that cuts a route raises a banner under the money bar, marks the break on the map, and badges the stuck truck. The one-way tool warns before you click. The fix the patch itself adds is that banner: follow it, then restore a movement the route still needs.
4. The green does not match the exit
The light editor can give a phase six seconds of green while the downstream bay is full. A 9-minute video spends its middle chapters on signals, a roundabout, extra lanes and lane direction after the title asks why more lanes still queue. Extra lanes are not the fix when the exit is the blockage.
5. The yard is the bottleneck
Patch 1.1 says busy factories ship about 20% more once trucks stop entering a full junction. The building panel also sells Speed and Buffers. I can show the queue and the upgrade buttons. I cannot give a truck-count where bays become mandatory, because no post states one.
One review says pathfinding should look one junction further ahead. I keep that as a single player's complaint, next to the patch text, and I do not promote it to a developer promise.

Questions
Did the game always block the junction this way?
Patch 1.1 changed entry: trucks wait when the far side is full, and left turns wait on their own line. Earlier gridlock is what that post says it reduced.
Where is the broken-route warning?
Under the money bar, from patch 1.2 on 3 Nov 2026. The map marks the cut.
Should I add lanes first?
Only after the exit and the bays have room. The public video title is about lanes that do not clear a queue.
